I also wonder just how long Obama believes that he can keep these photographs out of the public domain. Stuff like this has an irritating habit of being leaked (it happened with the original Abu Ghraib pictures) and you can bet your house that someone with access to them will have a fit of conscience and leak some, if not all of them, leaving the entire administration and military looking like a bunch of incompetent cover-up merchants (which is really just what they are).
If Obama truly wants to protect the troops then simply make sure that this sort of crap never happens again. A good start would be full and open prosecutions of those involved, no more of this ‘civil court’ rubbish. Rape is rape, no matter what the gender, colour, creed or nationality of the victim.
