My name is Terry and I'm a 50 something year old dis-enchanted ex-pat Brit living in Cyprus. Why am I dis-enchanted? You'll find reasons enough throughout my tumble log, along with quirky items that amused me and things I think need highlighting, and occasional quotes from some of my favourite novels. Oh, and maybe some original work of my own.

Malta is known for its world heritage sites,[11] most prominently the Megalithic Temples which are the oldest free-standing structures on Earth.[12][13][14] According to the Acts of the ApostlesSt. Paul was shipwrecked on the island. Malta is also considered a hypothetical location for the mythical lost island of Atlantis.[15][16]

Malta’s capital city is Valletta. The country’s official languages are Maltese and English, which replaced Italian in 1934. Malta has a long legacy of Roman Catholicism, which continues to be the official and dominant religion in Malta.
